We all know this is an epic fight for the sport of boxing. But for true boxing fans we would like to stick to the facts. And the facts are with all epic fights controversial decisions plays a huge factor, if the boxer doesn’t make space between him and his opponent on the scorecards. When it comes to the sport of boxing you would like to think that the decisions is solely base on the performance of the athletes. Nothing could be further from the truth, the judges & the referee could play apart in the out come of the fight. Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather could share there story on A controversial decision at one point in there career. Evander Holyfield had this to say about the fight “ mayweather won’t win, because from what I've seen, boxing doesn’t wont nobody to get out undefeated. They want to keep the money in the sport by doing things to make it happen this way. So I’ll tell you what’s going to happen, because its going to be a close fight yeah, it’ll be close, and pacquiao is going to get the decision” Because true boxing fans have seen this happen quite frequently it becomes more and more difficult to role out this kind of statement, from Evander Holyfield. For some critics, they feel this kind of statement leaves room for excuses on both fighters side. I probably would have agree with the critics that feel this leave room for excuse, if it wasn’t mayweather vs pacquiao. These gays have much more on the line than just another fight, legacy and history in the making is also a factor. 

Pacquiao has been waiting on this fight for six year and the boxing world has share there two cents about the fight happening at a much earlier time. Pacquiao has the opportunity now to show the world that he has what it takes to beat one of boxing undefeated boxer. The advantage pacquiao has going into this fight on Saturday May 2, 2015. Is not the misconceptions of him being a south paw that gives him the advantage. (real boxer wouldn't even entertain this conversation so i’m not going to)  True boxers knows on this level of boxing this is only one thing that matters, boxing skills. So lets talk about Pacquiao’s skills. We could begin with the obvious, power in both hand followed by his hand speed, this means you will get hit fast and it will hurt. His aggression is relentless and if you are not care full he could overwhelm you with pouches from all directions. I want to touch on a pouch most fighters don’t see coming and that is the looping left hand. Pacquiao has the opportunity of sneaking this left hand between your gloves because of his speed. The straight life is a dangerous punch in Pacquiao’s arsenal because it’s set up by the jab, generally a good calculated risk , and its usually disguise and hard to predict coming. There is no hesitations when the straight life is being thrown. Whats important about this punch is Pacquiao’s L-Position or lead foot dominance as some would like to call it. Pacquiao steps his lead foot to the outside of his opponents lead foot, by doing this brings him straight in-line with his opponents head, while simultaneously reducing the distance or range. The thing about his straight left hand that some don’t realize is the defense position it put pacquiao in, as he throw this straight left hand, his head will be out side the left shoulder of his opponent. This put pacquiao in a safe position as it would be difficult to counter with a right hand punch and easy for pacquiao to follow up with that right-hook he likes so much. Manny’s foot speed is a good defense attribute as he get in and out his opponent line of sight.

Mayweather is fighting his smallest opponent since 2009. The forty-seven in zero boxing technician is much taller and have a five inch reach over his opponent pacquiao. One misconception about Floyd going in to this fight, is that he has no power, or some critics would like to say he has pillow hand. But that's just the critics, his opponents are much wiser than that and know not to listen to this contentious issue. Like I said Floyd is now a custom to fighting opponents 10-15 pounds heavier than him. Floyd has a few skills of his own that paquiao would have to look out for. We can start with a pouch that's not commonly talked about, Mayweather’s body punching ability. he usually take this punch on adjustment or when the opportunity allows its self. This punch weather its the jab or a right hook it will slow you down and if land effectively it will take away a lot of energy from his opponent. In-addition the left body hook is even more dangerous behind that straight right hand witch is one of Floyd more efficient punches, his opponent has a hard time seeing this punch coming, has he lands his straight right repeatedly with great accuracy. Speaking of accuracy Floyd Money Mayweather has landed the must clean punches in boxing history and is one of the Game better Counter puncher (counter punch). Floyd Mayweather is good at throwing the jab and tricking his opponent into thinking they have a straight right, this is were the technician is at his best. Mayweather will shift his weight so his opponent over extend that straight right hand and this is where the counter punch from the left hand plays a big role. Floyd Money Mayweather is what i would like to call a cerebral fight ( brains in the ring) he has the ability to adjust to any condition in the ring. Lets talk about what the critics love to talk about Money Mayweather defense, Floyd use's a variety of combinations when it comes to defensive skills. Circular, angler, lateral and shoulder Roll or boxing experts would like to say the Philly Shell. His foot work would need to play a big roll in this fight, has he would need to avoid an aggressive Manny pacquiao. 

Conclusion 

people are now asking the question, how is Floyd going to deal with Manny Pacquiao’s speed? My rebuttal to that is how is Manny Pacquiao going to deal with Floyd accuracy? Floyd Money Mayweather is going to deal with paquiao’s speed by adjusting witch he is good at and out boxing pacquiao because he is the better boxer. Manny pacquiao is a good fighter and deserve his place in the ring. He is fast, aggressive, and take high quality risk punches. He would need all this and more on MAY 2, 2015 at the MGM Grand in las-Vegas as he is facing, a taller, bigger (size), better boxer with a five inch reach and knows how to use it. In-addition to that Mayweather is squaring off with the smallest opponent since 2009, pay attention as this will play a big apart on the power his critics like to diminish so much.
