Recently, 50 Cent has been making media rounds to discuss “Power” and more. In a new interview on Big Boy TV, 50 discussed his upcoming covershoot for Muscle Fitness Magazine (for the second time), the second season of Power “topping the first season,” and the comparison between Power and Empire.
The comparison between Power and Empire? There was only a comparison in the first episode.
See what else he had to say about the comparison, Mayweather, and more in the video below.
Gears of War Creator Cliff Bleszinski directed his followers on Twitter to a concept art gallery for his new, free-to-play first-person shooter currently codenamed Project Bluestreak.
The gallery shows off some of the game's weapons, including the gun you can see below. The descriptionfor the image says it's a near final version of the LAW gun, or Light Acceleration Weapon.
The gallery also gives us a look at a shoulder mounted rocket launcher called the ANVIL launcher, though according to the website these are just concepts for now. In addition, the gallery above also contains several concept art images for maps and characters from the game.
Bleszinski, of course, worked at Epic Games for two decades before quitting in October 2012, eventually opening his own studio, Boss Key Productions.
The studio's first title, Project Bluestreak, is set in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi world. The PC game will be published by free-to-play juggernaut Nexon America. No release date for the game has been announced.
No, Microsoft isn't trying to buy the Silent Hill franchise from Konami, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer hasconfirmed on Twitter, denying a rumor that circulated earlier this week.
"Sorry, this isn't true," Spencer said in response to a question from a fan. "Not sure where the rumor started but I don't want to mislead anyone."
Yesterday, Konami addressed recent reports of its intention to distance itself from the console gaming market in favour of mobile, as well as rumors surrounding the departure of Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima.
"Konami will continue to embrace the challenge of creating entertainment content via different platforms," Konami president Hideki Hayakawa said said. "Not only mobile platforms, but for home consoles, arcade units, and cards, to meet the changing needs of the times."
If you're wondering if the remastered campaigned is worth your money, check out the video walkthrough below featuring 343 Industries’ senior game designer Max Szlagor and original Halo 3: ODST developer Joseph Staten.
The update also adds the Remnant multiplayer map to Halo 2: anniversary, which you can read more abouthere.
Bandai Namco has released a trailer for another Tekken 7 fighter who's a completely new addition to the fighting game series.
Kazumi Mishima, who first appeared in the opening cinematic for Tekken 7, Is Heihachi Mishima's wife, Kazuya Mishima mother, and (at least one of) the game's boss characters who can transform into a demon. As you can see in the video below, some of her special attacks involve summoning a tiger.
Tekken 7 was announced last year. The game, which is powered by Epic's Unreal Engine 4, is already in Japanese arcades, but Bandai Namco has yet to announce when the game will hit other platforms in other territories.
Xbox One owners awaiting an official background music feature may want to get comfortable.
Responding to a fan on Twitter today, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer said this feature won't be delivered until afterWindows 10 integration comes to Xbox One.
"We have to land Windows 10 on Xbox One before we'll get background music," Spencer said. "So a little later."
Xbox One owners can currently use the Xbox Music app to listen to music while playing a game, but only with Snap. This takes up a portion of the screen, making it a less-than-ideal solution.
There is clearly demand for a better alternative. On the Xbox Feedback site, more than 19,000 people have voted for "Play Music From Apps Without Snap (Background Music)."
Also on Twitter today, another fan asked Spencer about the possibility of a new Xbox One feature that lets users broadcast party chat while streaming on Twitch. Spencer said Microsoft is currently looking into how this could work, though he provided no other details.
"It's a feature people have asked about, we are looking at what it would take to implement," he said.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One games released so far haven't come close to taking full advantage of those systems' power. That's according to Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Rockstar and 2K Games parent company Take-Two Interactive, who said during a recent presentation that the best is yet to come.
"We have yet to see entirely what the technology can allow," Zelnick said during the 43rd Annual Technology, Media & Telecom Conference this week in New York City. "We've had a couple releases for new-gen, but I don't think we remotely have seen what can be done, and that's super exciting. And that speaks to many of our titles; hopefully all of our titles, ultimately."
Zelnick's comments follow those from PlayStation president Andrew House, who said earlier this week that he's optimistic that E3 2015 next month will deliver games that take fuller advantage of the new consoles.
"I think it will be a show where we see the next generation of hardware really start to deliver great content and experiences that, if not take full advantage of the platform, take a lot more advantage than we've seen before," he said at the time.
The most high-profile of Take-Two's current-generation releases thus far was Grand Theft Auto V. This comes with something of an asterisk, however, as the game is an updated version of a last-generation title, albeit with some major new features and changes.
"For everyone asking, we aren't showing anything at E3 this year," studio head Vince Zampella said on Twitter. "I'll get to actually see all the games!"
Electronic Arts, which served as the publisher for the first game, will publish the sequel. The company's E3 briefing this year is scheduled for the usual time, in the early afternoon of Tuesday, June 16.
After lots of rumors, Respawn officially confirmed back in March that Titanfall 2 was in development and would be a "multiplatform" game. "We're working on a sequel," he said at the time. "No official name yet, but we're working on that."
The original Titanfall was released on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. The "multiplatform" comment mentioned above suggests the sequel may also be released for PlayStation consoles, though this has not been confirmed.
PlayStation 4 and PC sci-fi horror game SOMA, from the developers of Amnesia, will launch on September 22, Frictional Games announced on Friday. The studio also published a 12-minute gameplay trailer, offering an extended look at SOMA's creepy environments and characters.
Writing on its website, Frictional explains that the video takes place about an hour into the game. The studio also points out that the video only shows off a small selection of places to explore in the level.
The previously confirmed sequel to last year's Dark Souls-like RPG Lords of the Fallen is expected to launch in 2017, developer CI Games confirmed on Friday. The game, about which very little is known, is also leaving behind the original game's co-developer, Deck 13, CI Games studio head Marek Tyminski said.
"We are not working with Deck 13 right now," he toldEurogamer. "We are starting the project, we start from the concepting, but we definitely will be working with a lot of partners."
Pressed for more details on why Deck 13 won't be involved in the sequel, Tyminski replied, "We have spoken about certain things we could probably do after the release of Lords of the Fallen, but at the end of the day we came to the conclusion, both sides, that it won't happen."
The original Lords of the Fallen, which has now sold 900,000 copies, was developed by CI Games and Deck 13, along with other studios in China and the United Kingdom. For example, Tyminski pointed out that, at one point in development, more than 100 artists in China were working on Lords of the Fallen.
He went on to say that CI Games learned a lot from outsourcing some parts of Lords of the Fallen in this way. The studio plans to also take this approach with the upcoming Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3
GameSpot's 8/10 Lords of the Fallen review praised the game's combat system and atmospheric worlds. Reviewer Kevin VanOrd also enjoyed its grotesque creature designs that helped hammer home the dark setting.
